ARFEN has several departments under research and development; such as, technical team with architects, design team with engineers. Our company well known in the market for Handrails and Expansion joint systems, however our divisions has other jobs on engineering and seismic works.

We have been studying for seismic joint details, bridge joint details, bridge bearings, after 25 years of experience now we have been working on BRB (Buckling-restrained braced) systems for buildings. BRBs are an advanced type of conventional braces that, with proper detailing, prevent them from buckling under compressive forces. Thus, BRBs have an ideal elasto-plastic behavior. The results of dynamic experiments prove that structures with the BRBF system, exposing to earthquakes and similar natural disasters withstand more cyclic loads and have high ductility.
